The University of Teramo offers 5 faculties, 24 degree courses, 35 Masters, 6 postgraduate schools and 10 departments. The entire 50,000 sq m of the Coste Sant’Agostino Campus holds the faculties of Law, Communication Sciences and Political Science and a the agro-biology scientific pole.

The Campus and Pole are two realities symbolizing the core areas of the University: the legal, political and communicative areas together with the agro-bio-veterinary area which represent two centres of excellence of the University of Teramo.

Communication technologies have always influenced both thought and learning methods. As a result, facilities more and more necessary to the knowledge society such as language, multimedia and television laboratories, the university newspaper and radio station, have been developed over the years.

Marche Region

The Marche Region is governed by the Cabinet, chaired by a President accountable to the Council. The Cabinet is supported by a General Secretary and a Section for security and civil protection and is articulated in 11 Services divided into sub-structures dealing with social policies, economic activities and external relations.

The Council is composed of 42 elected councillors affiliated to political groups and divided into Commissions. I&R Dept. is one of the 6 units of the Industry and Craftsman Department of the Marche Region. It is composed of 8 internal staff members and it is well equipped with all the office and web tools necessary for the successful CB projects implementation. In the previous programming period, the I&R Dept. has managed about 100 ml Euro from EU and State funds stimulating private investments (for about 300 ml Euro) in research, technological transfer, innovative practice, creation of spin-off, etc. to increase regional enterprises international competiveness.

University Politecnica of Marche

Polytechnic University of Marche is one of the most important technical university in ltaly, with Master courses active since 1970. The departments involved in this project are: the Department of lnformation Engineering, and the Department of Economics and Social Sciences.

The Department of lnformation Engineering (Dli) employs 137 people: 47 permanent staff (full, associate and assistant professors), 15 administrative and technical staff, 49 PhD students and 26 PostDoctor fellowships. The Department hosts several laboratories, and the activities of 12 spin-offs in ICT field. The overall annual budget is around 4M€.

The Department of Economics and Social Sciences (DiSSES) has 42 permanent staff (full, associate and assistant professors), 14 administrative and technical staff, 10 post doc researchers and 28 PhD students. The overall annual budget is around 1,7M€.

Europe Point of Teramo Consortium

Consortium Europe Point of Teramo (COPE) is a regional-level development Agency, Public equivalent Body, owned by Province, Municipality and University of Teramo. With its fully equipped office, located inside the Scientific and technological Park of Teramo, its working staff of 9 units plus external experts provides assistance to Public Authorities in the implementation of development plans; manages projects and feasibility studies on economic, social and cultural development; enhances the access to funds and promotes productivity in economic sectors.

COPE is also a relevant centre for the dissemination of information through the direct management of the official information Antenna of the European Commission “Europe Direct Teramo”, with the institutional role of fostering and disseminating European cooperation politics, common models and best practices, coordinating and communicating new policies for the social, cultural and economic development.

Association for Economic Development REDAH

The Regional Economic Development Association for Herzegovina REDAH is a non-government, non-profit and independent agency founded by the regional economic development entities for the purpose of promoting, coordinating, planning and implementing development activities in the region.

The work of the Agency is based on the partnership between public, private and non-government sector. The organizational structure of REDAH is hierarchically structured in General Assembly (34 members), Management Board (9 members) and executive professional staff divided into 5 departments: Director Administration and finance; Strategy, policy, planning; Operations; SME-Investment promotion; Centre for rural and agriculture.

REDAH has 13 employees with university degree and fluent in English and/or German/Italian language. REDAH has 3 offices located in Mostar with all necessary equipment as computers, laptops, printers, photocopies, video projector etc.

Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handcraft and Agriculture of Chieti

The Chamber is a public body performing functions of general interest for the business system, focusing on development of local economies.

Premises: 2 buildings (3.400 m2), 3 exhibition pavilions (4.500 m2).
Employees: 54 (functional bodies included).

Core competencies: providing of Administration, Market regulatory and promotional services; monitoring, studies, and analysis of local economy data. The Chamber provides its services also through two “functional bodies” (Agenzia di Sviluppo and ASPO).

Equipment: LAN connections and PC stations enabling the provision of all services and documents (also e-documents) foreseen by Italian legislation in force. Revenue: € 9,3 mln (2014); Assets: € 25,1 mln (2014); Quality certification: ISO 9001 (Trade register office); Participations: 1 Industrial Development Consortium,1 Training Institution, 1 Local Action Group, 1 Coastal Action Group.

IDA Istra Development Agency

The Istrian Development Agency (IDA) Ltd. was founded by the Istrian Region and its 9 towns on December 14th 1999 as an operational body entrusted with the implementation of development programmes in the Istrian Region.

It is a selfsustainable agency (project financed). IDA has equity of 2.300.000 EUR and total assets in the value of 4.616.159 EUR. Its head office is located in the centre of Pula and all the offices are equipped with standard equipment such as computers, printers, faxes, etc. IDA has 12 full-time employees- 1 with PhD degree, 2 with mr.sc. degree and 9 with degree of university education.

The work is organised in departme n ts covering: credit guarantee scheme (in cooperation with EIB), coordination of 26 business zones in the region, international cooperation and implementation of EU funded projects, research and innovation activities within Metris research centre. The staff is continuously trained for generation and implementation of IDA` activities.

Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies of the University of Donja Gorica

University of Donja Gorica has the total of 75 employees, consisting of 35 professors, 28 associates, and 12 administrative staff. In terms of technical conditions UDG has a new integral building with area of 16000 m2, five large amphitheaters that can seat up to 300 people each with all the accompanying equipment (projectors, monitors, computers, speakers,microphones).

Several smaller classrooms, large computer rooms and in addition a mobile computer lab (Apple Lab), library, cafeteria, gallery, offices, and areas suitable for large and small meetings and conferences. Faculty of International Economics, Finance and Business, has extensive international cooperation experience with other universities and with numerous partners in the industry sector through either education or implementation of several international projects.

CCIT employes 43 employees. It is one of few organizations in Albania having a special department – the Centre for Business Research and Training (ACBRT), dedicated to the development projects and trainings.

It employs a qualified staff (engineers, business managers, IT specialists, etc., with Doctor and/or MSc degrees) and has strong cooperation relationships with national and international know-how centers. CCIT and ACBRT have their LAN-s, website (www.cci.al), databases, broadband Internet access, Intranet, training facilities, etc.

Zadar County development Agency ZADRA NOVA
